The BSA Essential Scope range are exactly that-an essential part of any serious shooters set up. Since their launch in 2006, they have become the first choice for many hunters and professional pest controllers around the world. In many shooters eyes 44mm is the perfect size for an objective lens as it gathers more light than a 40mm but can be mounted closer to barrel than a 50mm. This is desirable not only in terms of accuracy but it also helps to keep the guns overall profile nice and low. The ability to be able to adjust the objective lens allows for the correction of parallax error (see our scope guide) is considered a must for serious long range shooting.
This scope has a one piece body 1" (25mm) in diameter made from high grade aluminium and its lenses are fully multi-coated delivering maximum light transmission and an outstanding bright, sharp image. The reticle is BSA mil-dot which Air Gunner magazine described as probably the best mil-dot reticule available. Unlike many inferior mil-dot reticles these dots are not spread out but concentrated at the centre of the cross hairs where they are needed most for accurate range adjustment.
The finger adjustable turrets have 1/4 MOA click adjustments and are easy to use even when wearing gloves as is the fast focus on the eye bell . These rugged scopes are waterproof, fogproof, shockproof and come with and a lens cleaning cloth.
